About this Color
From Northstar Glassworks: NS-82 Ruby K is an old school kiln striking ruby, before the Garnets and Pomegranate. Since then, it has now been discontinued. Each one of our striking reds is designed for a specific application and work time. Ruby K was developed to control the difficulties of striking copper rubies and allow maximum work time without livering. This allows the color to be used for lip wraps, layering, and sculptural applications without fear of over-striking. Work in a hot neutral to slightly oxidizing flame for best results.
